Why PDBE Matters in California Utilities
California's regulated utilities participate in formal supplier-diversity programs under the California Public Utilities Commission's General Order 156.
GO 156 includes Persons with Disabilities Business Enterprises (PDBEs) within the Supplier Diversity Program and provides for eligible diverse suppliers to participate as subcontractors to prime contractors. Qualifying subcontracting awards may be included in a utility's GO 156 reporting results.
